Corona College of Education is a privately owned college of education that is located in Apapa, Lagos State. The institution was established in 2014 after being granted permission by the accreditation body to start operation.
Corona College of Education was founded by Corona Schools Trust Council, a major education trust in Nigeria that has operated for over 70 years and has contributed massively to the education sector of Nigeria. In a bid to expand the effort, in 2014 the trust came together to start Corona College of Education.
After deliberation by the trust college, the move that was made to establish the College of Education has to be approved, and thus in 2014, the institution was granted approval by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCEE) to operate as a college of education.
The approval that was granted to Corona College of Education in 2014 gave the institution the approval to run the National Certificate of Education (NCE) program and also the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PDE).
